Intermediate Football
The intermediate footballers continued preparations for championship when they hosted Bishopstown in Glenville. This was a very useful game for both sides and very competitive throughout. After the hour’s play, Glenville came out on top on a score line of 3-13 to 0-16.
Championship V Mitchelstown is now fixed for Saturday August 24th at 7pm in Ballyhooly.
East Cork Junior B Football Championship
Glenville 0-11
Bride Rovers 0-16
Glenville took on neighbours Bride Rovers in the semi final of the East Cork Junior B Football Championship. After an even opening half it was Bride Rovers who took a 3 point . Glenville battled hard in the second half, but it was the Rovers who always stayed in front and won out in the end on by 5 points.

East Cork Junior C Football Championship

Bride Rovers 3-11
Glenville took on Midleton on Tuesday night last in the opening round of the East Cork Junior C Football Championship. Midleton got off to a good start but the lads battled back to stay in touching distance. Midelton got 2 goals before the break which put them 2-9 to 1-4 ahead. Glenville battled hard in the second half and put in a really strong performance, but it was Midleton who held on for a 4-point win.

Rebel Og East U16 Football Championship Division 1
Glenville 1-4
St Michaels 4-12
Glenville played St Michaels in the opening round of the U16 football championship. Up against a very strong physical, this was always going to be a tough ask for our boys. However, our lads acquitted themselves very well, particularly in the opening half. At halftime St Micahels led by 1-6 to 0-3. However, in the second half it was the city side who took over and ended up deserved winners.

The U12’s continued there good form to date with a good win away to Kiltha Og. This win means the lads finished second in the league and will now go ahead to semi-finals. Well done lads.
Glenville GAA Club Mini 2 Day Camp
