Glenville Development Project UPDATE

Glenville GAA are about to embark on an ambitious development of our grounds in the village.

PHASE 1
Fully floodlit 70x 30m high spec 4g Astroturf pitch. (250k)

PHASE 2
Floodlighting of main pitch (120k)

PHASE 3
New clubhouse, including dressing rooms, gym, meeting room (300k)

PHASE 1

A lot of work has gone into to the planning of this project over the last year or so by a group of very dedicated volunteers. We are glad to announce at this point that we have secured Hourihanes Contractors as our main contractors to deliver Phase 1 of the project. €250,000 is the cost of Phase 1 which consists of a 70 x 30 meter AstroTurf pitch, fencing, ball stops, main pitch realignment, new entrance. To date we have received tremendous support from the community and beyond with the knowledge that when complete, this will be a magnificent asset to the Football and Hurling clubs, Ladies Football and Camogie club, all our underage teams and our local national school. The general public will also benefit as will be opened up to the public to use.

How are we paying for it ?

We have secured a substantial loan and our local fundraising activities so far have been centered around door to door donations.
We have also applied for Government/ Sports Capital grants for financial assistance for this project.
To help us achieve our targets in this financially challenging venture we really need your ongoing support to create an exciting investment in the future of our community.

As you may or may not be aware the club can receive additional income via Tax Relief from PAYE donations that are in access of €250.
